Shipping Options
Shipping Option #1: UPS 2nd Day Air (NO LAG).
With this shipping option, your mantis will only be in the mail for 2-3 days. This shipping method is only safe if your temperatures are between 60 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit. In cases of extreme weather, even with good insulation and packaging, we cannot guarentee live arrival of your mantises. We can provide a live arrival guarentee for this shipping method ONLY if your temps are between 60 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit and you ship to a UPS drop off center.
Shipping Option #2: FedEx Priority Overnight (Includes LAG).
With this shipping option, your mantis will arrive early the next day after being dropped off at the post office. This is the safest shipping method especially if you are worried about extreme weather conditions. We can always provide a live arrival guarentee with this shipping method. We still recommend having your package shipped to a FedEx hub.
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
Live Arrival Guarantee or LAG means that we can guarentee that your mantis arrives alive and healthy upon recieving it. If your mantis arrives dead, we can offer a complete refund for the price of the mantis (not the shipping).
We cannot provide a Live Arrival Guarentee for mantises shipped using UPS 2nd Day Air unless it is shipping to a UPS drop off center with temperatures between 60 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit. We will honor the LAG for all orders using the FedEx Priority Overnight shipping option regardless of weather conditions.
Shipping Dates
Orders will be shipped only on Mondays or Tuesdays. (Usually Mondays)
This means that if all orders were shipped out on Monday, and you place an order on Tuesday, your order will not be shipped until the next Monday or Tuesday along with the rest of that weeks orders.
Please give us a grace period of about 2 weeks when ordering, as shipping live animals takes alot of preperation, and if we have a high volume of orders, we may not be able to ship everything in one week.
Shipping later on in the week can be risky because of shipping delays over the weekend.
PRE-ORDERS:
If you have ordered a mantis that is a "Pre-Order", that means that the mantis is still too young and too small to ship out. We cannot ship any mantises until they are atleast L2 (meaning they have molted atleast one time after hatching.)
Usually pre-orders will be shipped out to you after 2-3 weeks.
We are NOT responsible if your mantis is shipped at an inconvenient time for you if we were not given notice. If you will be out of town, you are required to let us know so we can hold the shipment for you. If you do not let us know, we are NOT responsible.
Insulation + Cold/Heat Pack
Regardless of the shipping method you choose, each package will be sent with proper styrofoam insulation and a heat or cold pack if neccesary depending on the temps in your area.
